The Ride of Silence, an international event held annually to honor
fallen cyclists and bring attention to bicycle safety, was held in
Uptown Greenville on May 20, 2009. More than 55 cyclists gathered in
the Bicycle Post parking lot to support bicycling in our community.
With traffic control from the Greenville Police Department, the group
traveled silently through some of the busiest streets in Greenville
demonstrating that cyclists have rights to roads.
