The 2009 Cotton Country Century will start and end at the corner of 1st and Evans Streets in Uptown Greenville near East Carolina University. Registration will be in the Town Common on the far side of 1st Street (between 1st and the Tar River).

Cycle along idyllic country roads through the flat countryside of Eastern North Carolina. The Cotton Country Century offers three ride distances: a 30-mile route, a metric century (62 miles), and an English century (100 miles.) The routes are on lightly traveled country roads in the heart of cotton country USA.
This fully supported tour features high quality rest stops along the way, with rest-rooms and nutritious foods. Routes are clearly marked and patrolled by SAG vehicles equipped with tools and cellular phones.
The Cotton Country Century honors Larissa Molles, a local cyclists and club member that was killed by a careless driver in September 2004, and supports cycling safety and awareness.
Register by September 10th to guarantee you receive a free organic cotton tee shirt. Online registration is available until September 24th. After the 24th only event day registrations will be accepted. Note that the $10 EC Velo member discount is only available for pre-registrations. All registrations on the day of the event will be at the $30 per rider rate!!

Detailed Directions
From Raleigh:
Follow 64 to 264 to Greenville. Go straight. (Do not turn to get on the 264 bypass.) The street name changes from Stantonsburg Road to Farmville Boulevard and dead ends at 14th Street (light). Turn right onto 14th Street. Go past two traffic lights and two sets of railroad tracks to the next traffic light at Evans Street. Turn left at Evans. Go past 10th Street (Starbucks on your right) and 5th Street (Cubbies on your right) all the way to 1st Street. Park in lots available off of 1st Street. Registration will be across 1st Street in the Town Commons.
From Virginia:
Follow I-95 south to Highway 264 east, then follow directions above.
From New Bern/Jacksonville:
Take US17 into and through New Bern going north. In Vanceboro, follow NC 43 to Greenville/East Carolina University. NC 43 becomes Charles Street when it enters Greenville. Cross Greenville Boulevard (Mcallister’s on left). Turn left at 10th street (Krispy Crème on right). Go 2 blocks and turn right onto Evans Street (Starbucks on left). Continue on Evans to 1st street. From Kinston/Goldsboro:
In Kinston, take NC11 north. In Greenville, turn right at Greenville Boulevard (Honda on left). Go to Evans street (Barnes and Nobles in mall on left). Turn left onto Evans and proceed to 10th Street (Starbucks on right). Then follow directions for Raleigh above.
